Addoley Dzegede is a Ghanaian-American interdisciplinary artist who grew up in South Florida and is currently based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is currently a 2020/2021 Tulsa Artist Fellow in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She received a BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art and was awarded a Chancellorâs Graduate Fellowship at Washington University in St Louis, where she completed an MFA in Visual Art. Her work has been exhibited throughout the US, Europe, and Africa, and she has been an Artist-in-Residence at the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach, Florida, Osei Duro in Accra, Ghana, Thread : a project of the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation in Senegal, CitĂ© Internationale des Arts in Paris, The University of Kansas, the Arteles Creative Center in Finland, Foundation Obras in Portugal, and Nes Artist Residency in Iceland, as well as a post-graduate apprentice at the Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia. Group exhibitions and screenings include the Ask Addoley + Anna podcast with Anna Ihle, commissioned by Coast Contemporary in 2019 and the National Museum of Norway in 2020 ; SOM, at the Woodland Gallery, Penn State Abington, PA ; This Country, at Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT ; Overview is a Place at SPRING/BREAK Art Show : Stranger Comes to Town in New York ; Another Country at 50/50 in Kansas City ; the Counterpublic Triennial, organized by The Luminary, St. Louis, MO ; Color Key at the Contemporary Art Museum, St Louis ; and Surface Forms at The Fabric Workshop & Museum in Philadelphia. Solo exhibitions include Ballast, at the Contemporary Art Museum and millefiori at KSMoCA in Portland, Oregon. Among recent awards are the 2018 Great Rivers Biennial award ; a MICA alumni award ; a St. Louis Regional Arts Commission Artist Support Grant ; and a Creative Stimulus Award from Critical Mass for the Visual Arts. She is half of the collaborative duo, LAB:D, with Lyndon Barrois Jr. Dzegede is a 2018 recipient of the Joan Mitchell Foundation Painters & Sculptors Grants.

Daniele Balit est historien de lâart, thĂ©oricien et commissaire dâexpositions. SpĂ©cialiste des Ă©tudes sonores, ses recherches portent en particulier sur les convergences audio-visuelles de la pĂ©riode post-Cage et post-minimaliste, et sur lâ« esthĂ©tique de la situation » autour de figures telles que Michael Asher ou Max Neuhaus.

Ă travers le corps, la voix, lâodeur et la prĂ©sence partagĂ©e, elle interroge la maniĂšre dont la mĂ©moire, lâattention et les gestes du quotidien circulent, sâincarnent et façonnent notre rapport au temps et aux lieux. Ses installations et formats participatifs engagent les publics dans des expĂ©riences sensibles, entre rĂ©cit incarnĂ© et rĂ©sistance poĂ©tique. Depuis 2020, elle co-dirige avec Nour Awada le projet de recherche [Re]production, consacrĂ© aux enjeux de la maternitĂ© dans lâart contemporain, soutenu par le MinistĂšre de la Culture. Son travail a Ă©tĂ© prĂ©sentĂ© en France et Ă lâinternational dans le cadre dâexpositions, de festivals, de rĂ©sidences et de programmes de recherche.
